Our conversation started with technical questions “how do I do this in Photoshop”. And quickly moved to something deeper “How can you use the constraints of shooting underwater to your advantage? How do you feel underwater? How can you use photography to envision and share these feelings to the world?”
Before Mentoring: Alison's portfolio showcased beautiful, professional images, but it lacked a cohesive style. She experimented a lot, leading to an inconsistent color palette and a "tightness" in posing and lighting. This made it hard for potential clients to envision their results.
After Mentoring: Alison's personality now shines through her work. She discovered her voice, embraced warm tones, and introduced more flow, moving away from rigid posing. Her portfolio is now cohesive and unique, inviting viewers into a dreamy, surreal underwater world.

What I really appreciated was how personal and tailored the experience was. From the beginning, Pauline took the time to really understand my struggles, she didn’t just try to sell me a ready-made course. She listened to what I was stuck on, where I wanted to go, and gave me the exact tools to get there faster and with more ease in Photoshop.

The first thing I have to say is, I instantly clicked with her personality. She radiates this contagious enthusiasm and positivity that really lifts you up. It makes you want to get back to work and start moving forward again.
I came to Pauline for coaching because I felt completely stuck. I had already made the decision to change my approach in my work, but I had no idea where to start. I felt overwhelmed, tangled in the projects I was doing, and I knew something had to shift but I just couldn’t see how.
What I appreciated most is that she helped me realize I wasn’t actually stuck, there were so many doors open to me, but I just couldn’t see them at the time. And once she helped me spot those options, even if I didn’t walk through them yet, it felt like a huge weight lifted off my shoulders.
